About Us

Vision & Mission

Defining our purpose and the future we are building together

Bridging the genius of the past with the possibilities of the future.

— Named after Imhotep, ancient Egypt's architect, engineer, and polymath

Our Vision

Egypt as the regional hub for electronic design & manufacturing.

To position Egypt as a leading regional destination for innovative electronic design and manufacturing — a place where global investors, world-class researchers, and ambitious entrepreneurs converge to shape the technology of tomorrow.

Drawing on Egypt's deep tradition of engineering excellence — from the pyramids to the modern Nile Valley — the Imhotep Center envisions a future where Egyptian electronics companies compete and win on the global stage.

Our Mission

Drive Egypt's digital transformation through infrastructure, innovation, and people.

To accelerate Egypt's digital transformation by supporting technology startups and electronics companies — enabling cutting-edge microelectronics innovation, Industry 4.0 adoption, and the human capital development needed to compete globally.

Under ITIDA's Egypt Made Electronics (EME) initiative, every lab, programme, and partnership at the Imhotep Center is engineered to move Egyptian technology forward — from concept to commercialisation.

Core Values

The principles behind every decision.

Innovation

We foster a culture of bold experimentation and creative problem-solving — pushing the boundaries of what is possible in electronics, microelectronics, and deep technology.

Collaboration

We build bridges between startups, established industry, academia, and government agencies — creating an interconnected ecosystem where every stakeholder grows together.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to the highest standards in engineering, research, and business support — ensuring world-class outcomes across every program and partnership we undertake.

Impact

Every initiative is measured by its real-world contribution to Egypt's economy, workforce, and global technological competitiveness — not just outputs, but lasting outcomes.

The Name: Imhotep

Named after Egypt's greatest polymath.

Imhotep — architect, physician, sage — was the world's first named engineer. He designed the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara around 2650 BCE, the first large-scale stone structure in history.

Deified by later generations, he embodied the union of art, science, and engineering. The Imhotep I&D Center carries that legacy forward — blending ancient ingenuity with modern technology to build Egypt's future.

Just as Imhotep bridged the human and the divine, this center bridges the genius of the past with the possibilities of tomorrow.
