Startup Incubation

EME Incubation Program — from idea to market, under the Egypt Made Electronics initiative

Programme Overview

For pre-seed and seed stage startups in deep technology.

The EME Incubation Program at Imhotep I&D Center supports pre-seed and seed stage startups in high-impact technology sectors. We provide the infrastructure, mentorship, market access, and funding connections that early-stage companies need to validate their technology, build their teams, and scale their businesses.

Resident startups gain access to the same world-class facilities as established EIEDCEP member companies — the Microelectronics Lab, I4.0 COE, IoT Lab, and Digital Fabrication Lab — giving them infrastructure that would cost millions to replicate independently.

Whether developing a novel semiconductor solution, an Industry 4.0 platform, a digital transformation product, or an embedded systems innovation — the Imhotep Center is your launchpad.

The Initiative Behind the Program

Egypt Made Electronics — a Presidential initiative since 2015.

EME is a comprehensive national strategy with five core goals designed to transform Egypt into a global electronics powerhouse — underpinning every program at the Imhotep Center.

01

Economic Growth

Make electronics a key driver of economic growth — positioning it as a major contributor to Egypt's GDP and industrial base.

02

Export Leadership

Position Egyptian electronics companies to export IC designs, embedded systems, and manufacturing services to global markets.

03

Import Substitution

Reduce Egypt's electronic imports through domestic innovation, local manufacturing capability, and deep tech product development.

04

Employment Creation

Generate high-quality, high-value employment for Egypt's engineers, researchers, and technical graduates.

05

Regional Hub

Brand Egypt as the MENA region's leading destination for electronic design, manufacturing services, and deep technology investment.
